Position Overview The Retail Sales Associate - Key Holder is an entry-level sales role designed to deliver exceptional service to our DIY customers. You will support our sales and service objectives, utilizing your knowledge of store systems and automotive parts. This position can be either part-time or full-time, with fleet safety certification preferred. Primary Responsibilities Provide a superior selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone inquiries. Meet personal sales goals and contribute to store sales targets. Deliver DIY services, including battery testing and installation, wiper blade installs, and more. Maintain high standards for store inventory and operations. Oversee inventory processes including truck put away, cycle counts, and back stock management. Additional Responsibilities Maintain store cleanliness in common areas. Manage general stocking tasks, including truck stocking and back stock organization. Safely deliver parts to customers when required. Key Success Factors Basic driving and navigation skills. Proficiency in using delivery tracking systems. Friendly and effective communication skills. Ability to locate and properly stock parts. Knowledge of safety procedures and practices. Competency in operating inventory systems and store equipment. Familiarity with POS and parts lookup systems. Expertise in using diagnostic equipment for DIY services. Essential Skills for Success Proficient in spoken and written English (Spanish is a plus). Able to read and interpret various documents, including safety rules and maintenance instructions. Basic math skills to perform calculations accurately. Availability to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, and weekends as needed. Preferred Experience 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a retail environment with a focus on customer satisfaction. Physical Demands This position requires the ability to walk or stand for extended periods. You should be capable of speaking, hearing, and using your hands for tasks. The role involves lifting/moving up to 50 pounds frequently and up to 100 pounds on occasion. Visual requirements include close vision, distance vision, and depth perception. Work Environment You will primarily work indoors, but may also be required to work outside in various weather conditions while performing service tasks.
