Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.
U.S. Only: This position will act as an originator of consumer loans as defined by Regulation Z, Regulation G, and the S.A.F.E. Act. Requires Federal registration with the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing System and Registry. A criminal background review and credit history evaluation will be required, along with restrictions on performing as a real estate agent.
Proactively engages with existing customers and prospects to provide needs-based assessments, grow loyalty, and identify opportunities.
Conducts needs assessments to identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels, recommending tailored solutions for sales and service needs, including banking, investments, lending, and small business solutions.
Advises clients on digital and self-serve banking options to enhance convenience.
Supports customer transactions based on traffic and needs.
Builds new relationships within the community through outreach and appointments.
Ensures compliance with legal and regulatory requirements during credit audits and quality checks.
Applies risk management principles to protect assets and maintain portfolio quality.
Makes credit recommendations aligned with sound principles and bank policies.
Works as part of a collaborative team within the branch and market.
Understands customer needs and integrates marketing promotions into conversations.
Organizes work to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Finds creative ways to personalize customer experience.
Contributes to improving overall branch customer experience.
Supports business results and overall branch performance.
May work at multiple branches; schedule may vary.
Follows risk and compliance policies to safeguard assets and privacy.
Stays informed about market trends, legal, and regulatory environment.
Maintains knowledge of products, practices, and industry trends.
Identifies suspicious activity related to money laundering.
Ensures compliance with jurisdictional legal and regulatory requirements.
Handles complex tasks and escalations as needed.
Analyzes issues and determines next steps.

Qualifications:
Typically 2-3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary education or equivalent.
Registration to sell investment products (Canada only).
Lending qualifications and designations.
Knowledge of personal and small business banking needs and solutions.
Experience with retail investments and lending products.
Experience in financial services is an asset.
Proficient with social media, tablets, smartphones, and online tools.
Experience in customer service or sales, with a focus on personal experience.
Strong interpersonal, listening, problem-solving, and adaptability skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Organizational, collaboration, and analytical skills.
Salary: $41,715.00 - $67,000.00
Pay Type: Salaried
Salaries vary based on location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications, and may include commissions.
