Pharmacy Technician Job Summary This role involves supporting pharmacists in delivering high-quality pharmaceutical services that align with the organization's mission and values. Collaboration and Teamwork: Effective communication with colleagues, active participation in staff training programs, prompt issue resolution, and ongoing workflow evaluation. Customer Service and Interdepartmental Relations: Timely response to phone calls, fostering positive relationships with customers, prompt response to requests, and maintaining inventory of necessary supplies. Medication Safety and Use: Proactive identification of medication safety improvement opportunities, participation in medication safety event reporting, and awareness of relevant medication communications. Prescription Processing: Accurate processing and filling of prescriptions under pharmacist supervision, adherence to legal and pharmacy procedures, prioritization of new prescriptions and refills, and accurate interpretation of prescriptions. Typing Skills: Proficient typing and accuracy using a keyboard, with the ability to type at least 30 words per minute with minimal errors. Required Qualifications: California Pharmacy Technician License (TCH) and preferred qualifications include a High School Diploma or Equivalent and one year of experience in a hospital/retail pharmacy environment. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is also preferred.
