Position Overview: This position is responsible for completing clerical, customer service and cashier related duties within the outpatient pharmacies. Location:10000 W Colonial Dr, Ocoee, FL 34761 Schedule:M-F and some weekends, 8 hour shifts. Responsibilities Essential Functions • Performs cash handling and is responsible for daily opening and closing clerical procedures • Delivers medications to pharmacy locker systems and to patients for the meds to beds program • Completes pharmacy and over the counter sales and provides exceptional customer service • Bags and files completed prescriptions ready to be sold to patients • Demonstrates an understanding of the dispensing and point of sale systems to complete tasks relevant to the position • Manages supply inventory and submits orders to replenish supplies when needed • Monitors inventory for outdated products, performs daily cycle counts and other inventory related tasks • Answers phones and routes calls accordingly based on the needs of the caller • Contact patients or prescribers to follow up on outstanding issues or other instances relevant to the position • Assists with putting away medication, supply, and over the counter orders • Maintains files and understands procedures for historical prescription storage and organization • Performs prescription pickup reminder calls and completes return to stock for aged prescriptions • Coordinates medication delivery and method of payment for meds to beds patients • Effectively communicate and collaborate with other members of pharmacy staff • Develops clear understanding of outpatient pharmacy workflow and all processes relevant to the position • Maintains reasonably regular, punctual attendance consistent with Orlando Health policies, the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards. • Maintains compliance with all Orlando Health policies and procedures. Qualifications Education/Training High School diploma or equivalent. Successfully completion of the in-house Pharmacy Support Assistant entry-level training program associated with job description. Must be able to speak, read, and understand Basic English.
