We are actively seeking a dedicated and experienced Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) for a direct hire opportunity at a community-focused retail pharmacy in Jackson Heights, Queens, NY. Position Details: Title: Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) Type: Direct Hire, Full-Time Location: Queens, NY (Jackson Heights area) Start Date: ASAP Pharmacy Hours: Monday Friday: 10:00 AM 6:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM 5:00 PM Closed Sundays Job Responsibilities: Oversee and manage daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations Supervise pharmacy staff, delegate tasks, and ensure proper workflow Verify prescriptions, counsel patients, and maintain accurate patient profiles Maintain appropriate inventory levels and manage procurement processes Collaborate with prescribers and insurance companies to ensure smooth prescription processing Uphold high standards of patient care and customer service in a diverse community setting Ensure all recordkeeping, reporting, and compliance documentation is completed accurately and on time Requirements: Active and unrestricted New York State Pharmacist License Prior experience as a Staff Pharmacist or PIC in a retail setting preferred Strong understanding of pharmacy operations, compliance, and workflow management Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills Bilingual in Spanish is strongly preferred due to the patient population Comfortable working in a fast-paced, multicultural environment This is a rewarding opportunity for a pharmacist looking to grow their career, take on a leadership role, and become an integral part of the local community.
