Key Responsibilities: Supervise staff, providing clear verbal and written instructions regarding work assignments and performance evaluation. Serve as the acting supervisor in the absence of the Store Manager or Assistant Store Manager. Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing complaints, resolving conflicts, and assisting our guests in any way possible. Process customer transactions swiftly and accurately while adhering to cash handling guidelines, and engage with customers on the sales floor. Manage the store’s financial assets, including cash register operations, cash deposits, and change funds, ensuring accuracy and accountability. Maintain attractive visual presentations and merchandise rotation, enhancing the shopping experience. Ensure a clean, safe, and organized store environment, delegating housekeeping tasks as necessary. Meet or exceed daily production targets for processing donated items in compliance with company standards. Open and close the store during designated hours, handling all necessary financial paperwork and cash management. Ensure compliance with company guidelines to enhance customer and donor experiences while fostering appropriate interactions among staff and customers. As a Retail Shift Supervisor, you will be cross-trained in all areas of store operations. Prepare and lead daily huddle meetings and participate in mandatory monthly staff meetings. Promote a safe, healthy, and positive environment that supports the well-being of team members and customers. Perform housekeeping duties as required, including basic cleaning tasks throughout the store. Complete additional responsibilities as assigned by management. Qualifications: Required Skills: High school diploma or GED preferred. 12-18 months of related experience and/or training. Knowledge and Skills: Thorough understanding and compliance with company policies and legal requirements. Effective communication skills with a focus on collaboration. Able to lift and carry loads exceeding 50 pounds regularly. Strong problem-solving abilities and multitasking skills. Basic math skills for financial management and reporting. Basic computer proficiency, including Excel and email. Reliable transportation for job-related travel as needed. Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends. Certifications and Licenses: Valid driver’s license required. Preferred Qualifications: High School Diploma preferred. Customer service experience preferred. Experience in office management preferred.
