Position Overview: A successful Retail Operations Manager will embody the spirit of exceptional customer service, striving to create WOW! moments for every shopper. Position Details: Sales and Goals Achievement: Lead efforts in driving sales and achieving profitability by exceeding established store financial goals. Monitor key metrics like Average Order Value (AOV), Units Per Transaction (UPT), and Conversion rates; set clear expectations for team performance. Oversee merchandising presentation adhering to Visual Merchandising standards and current product messaging. Communicate promotions effectively with proper signage. Analyze inventory assortments in relation to customer traffic and buying behaviors, keeping the District Manager informed of necessary shifts.
Customer Service: Exemplify exceptional customer service standards, setting the tone for the team to follow. Foster deep product knowledge and brand familiarity to deliver friendly, solution-oriented service. Manage staffing levels and ensure engagement on the sales floor for optimal customer interaction. Accurately record customer information and preferences. Maintain high standards of cleanliness across all store areas.
Human Resources/Leadership Skills: Skillfully recruit, hire, train, and motivate team members. Ensure timely filling of open positions. Demonstrate professionalism and uphold company values in employee interactions. Make sound decisions and promote a solutions-based culture. Provide ongoing feedback and coaching to staff for performance improvement. Recognize and nurture high-performing individuals for advancement opportunities. Complete HR protocols and maintain employee records diligently and accurately. Model compliance with company policies and foster a positive work environment. Communicate potential problems and opportunities with the District Manager.
Store Operations: Manage inventory and control expenses effectively. Supervise receipt and transfer of merchandise, ensuring accuracy. Ensure visual merchandising aligns with store presentation standards. Train staff on cash handling procedures to ensure compliance. Oversee register processes and security protocols. Uphold safety standards for both employees and customers. Respond to security alarms following protocols.
What We're Looking For: High school diploma or equivalent; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Merchandising preferred. Five years of retail experience, with three years in a management role. Strong organizational skills with adaptability to changes. Ability to inspire, lead, and motivate diverse teams. Effective problem-solving skills and resilience through challenges. Results-driven, with a focus on achieving goals. High levels of integrity and professionalism. Excellent communication and listening skills. Team-oriented with collaborative spirit. Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship. Environmental Factors: Ability to stand or walk for up to eight hours per day. Frequent bending, reaching, and twisting activities. Repetitive hand motions; frequently lifting up to 20 pounds and occasionally up to 40 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and reach overhead. Work environments with temperatures ranging from 50 to 80 degrees, especially in stock areas. Comfort with using tools like hammers and screwdrivers for tasks.
