Assistant Store Manager As a key member of our store team, you will assist the Store Manager in achieving sales goals while ensuring profitable store operations and delivering exceptional customer service.
The Assistant Store Manager assumes supervisory responsibility when the Store Manager is absent and plays a vital role in maintaining a productive and efficient work environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Store Manager in meeting or exceeding weekly, monthly, and annual sales budgets.
Model Lindt standards and core competencies through everyday activities.
Communicate effectively with store staff to ensure understanding of sales mission and performance metrics.
Motivate staff and hold them accountable for meeting internal KPIs and external sales opportunities.
Identify and capture external sales opportunities, including business-to-business contacts and marketing initiatives.
Proactively manage inventory levels to minimize out-of-stocks, overstocks, and dated product.
Staff Development Support the Store Manager in hiring, managing, and developing store personnel according to Lindt & Sprüngli guidelines and standards.
Assist with recruiting qualified candidates for open positions.
Network to provide viable candidates for the store and district.
Train staff to company standards to achieve daily operations and sales.
Develop staff sales techniques to ensure expert product knowledge and accurate representation of the brand to customers.
Escalate issues to the Store Manager and Retail District Manager in a timely manner.
Operational Controls Ensure store operations meet or exceed company standards for control and management.
Inventory Control/Shrink.
Cash Management (POS, paperwork, logs, Policies & Procedures).
Audit Compliance (DM Store Visits, Loss Prevention, and Food Safety).
Payroll/Labor Management.
Expense Control (sampling, damages, supplies, etc.).
Comply with all quality assurance Policies & Procedures.
Requirements Requirements include 1+ years of prior retail management experience, preferably in a premium specialty environment.
Prior experience with computerized POS systems is required.
Regularly lift up to 10 pounds, frequently lift up to 35 pounds, and occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach with arms.
High School Diploma or equivalent is required. Associate's Degree or some college education is preferred.
Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays is mandatory.
