GENERAL SUMMARY As a Retail Operations Associate, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of our store during your shifts, all while adhering to company policies. Your main objective will be to foster a welcoming environment that meets our customers’ needs and contributes to the store's profitability. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Flexibility to work varying schedules as necessary. Communicate effectively with management regarding store operations and any changes that may impact efficiency. Engage with customers in a polite and professional manner. Complete end-of-shift reports following company protocols. Customer Service Excellence Deliver outstanding customer experiences. Greet every customer warmly with a sincere welcome. Suggest purchases and promote current specials to enhance customer satisfaction. Take initiative in executing our customer service initiatives at the store level. Safety and Store Maintenance Take proactive steps to minimize safety risks for all parties. Ensure strict compliance with environmental and hazardous material guidelines. Maintain a safe and secure environment while documenting any incidents. Oversee the upkeep of cleanliness both inside and around the store. Operate equipment efficiently and safely. Support the implementation of our Health and Safety program. Promptly report any workplace accidents or incidents. Complete orientation procedures for new employee safety. QUALIFICATIONS: Ability to read, understand, and write at an eighth-grade level. Basic arithmetic skills to handle transactions and shift reports. Capability to verify customer identification for age-restricted sales (tobacco and alcohol). Physical ability to lift up to 30 pounds and carry items safely. Remain calm in emergency situations and follow procedures. Tolerate exposure to gasoline vapors and cleaning substances. Adapt to different temperature environments (coolers and outdoor conditions). Conduct general housekeeping tasks as needed. Must be at least 18 years of age. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Maintain cleanliness and safety throughout the store. Perform additional duties as required. Occasional lifting of up to 50 pounds. Ability to move throughout the store.
