Play a central role in helping your store, your people and your customers win by: Processing accurate and efficient inventory controls Executing all product activities, including truck unloading, sorting, stocking, and maintaining stock levels Executing Weekly Planograms and seasonal promo merchandising changeover Delivering exceptional customer service Utilizing basic selling skills to properly engage and present solutions to customers Maintaining a neat and clean store environment Performing front end responsibilities, such as cashier, returns, and online reservations Providing store leadership when scheduled as the Manager on Duty Essential Skills And Experience: Able to work a flexible schedule based on the store’s needs Clear understanding of merchandising and retail operations Experience managing and coaching a team and/or supervising others Ability to engage and speak to customers and understand their needs Ability to handle many priorities and multitask effectively with limited supervision Ability to lift, push, or pull materials in the 100-pound range, climb ladders, stand, and walk continuously Ability to work cooperatively in a high-paced and sometimes stressful environment Ability to manage conflict in a reasonable, non-confrontational, and cooperative manner Ability to act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information Note: Staples does not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position.
