Overview Job Title: Retail Merchandising Specialist Job Type: Independent Contractor Pay: $19-$22 per hour (rate based on market and relevant experience) Expected Hours: Varies, Project-Based Job Overview Winston Retail ( https://www.winstonretail.com ) is looking for a passionate and detail-driven Apparel Merchandiser to bring fashion to life at the store level. As an Apparel Merchandiser, you'll ensure clothing is styled, organized, and presented to reflect brand identity and attract shoppers. Working hands-on in stores, you'll be responsible for styling mannequins and displays to create a polished, trend-forward shopping experience. Responsibilities Develop and implement effective merchandising strategies that align with company standards Execute planograms to optimize product placement and maximize sales with apparel and hardline merchandise Communicate effectively with team members and store management regarding merchandising needs Work independently and as part of a team in different store settings Manage monthly scheduling to ensure store visits and merchandising deliverables are completed by deadlines, demonstrating strong time management and accountability Submit store visit reports, including taking before and after photos and providing feedback, using the Winston App on a smart device Smartphones are required for reporting: IOS (iPhone 11 or newer), Android (2020 or newer device with OS no more than four versions behind latest) Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand during the entire shift Experience & Skills Proven experience in apparel merchandising or related field preferred Experience working with mannequins (assembling, updating, styling) Portfolio of work is preferred but not required Familiarity with planograms and visual directives Keen eye for detail and creativity in apparel displays Strong verbal and written communication skills Benefits Competitive hourly rate Paid online training Flexible schedule Wellness benefits Opportunities for advancement Schedule Monday-Friday (weekends optional) Hours vary per project At Winston, we celebrate our diverse talent and embrace change to grow stronger together.
