Overview Retail Merchandise Associate at The TJX Companies, Inc. Marshalls location. Responsibilities Deliver a highly satisfactory customer experience by engaging with all customers and upholding customer experience principles. Maintain a clean and organized store environment and adhere to operational, merchandise, and loss prevention standards. Cross-train to work in multiple areas of the store to support business needs. Model established customer experience practices with internal and external customers. Support a positive store culture through honesty, integrity, and respect. Accurately ring customer purchases/returns and handle cash transactions according to procedures. Promote credit and loyalty programs. Process and prepare merchandise for the sales floor following company procedures. Participate in store recovery and maintain cleanliness of the sales floor and store overall. Provide and accept recognition and constructive feedback; adhere to labor laws and store policies. Support shrink reduction goals and participate in safety programs. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Excellent customer service skills. Flexible schedule to support business needs. Strong communication and organizational skills with attention to detail. Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes; respond appropriately to unexpected situations. Ability to lift heavy objects with or without reasonable accommodation. Works effectively with peers and supervisors; retail customer experience preferred.
