What We're Looking For: GNC is seeking a dynamic Retail Management Trainee (RMT) to be part of a development-focused position designed to prepare you to manage your own store. Under the guidance of a Store Manager or District Manager, this hands-on program will equip you with the necessary skills and knowledge to effectively operate a store and drive exemplary results. As an RMT, you will embody GNC's 'Live Well' philosophy and be passionate about delivering tailored wellness solutions to each customer through your understanding of business operations. What You'll Do: Engage actively with leaders in training initiatives and projects to enhance your growth and support your journey towards promotion. Support the entire shopping experience, from visual and operational elements to customer relations that foster sales and repeat business. Achieve and exceed personal sales and productivity goals while mentoring your team members to maximize their potential. Build strong teams and exhibit leadership by providing constructive feedback to store associates on an ongoing basis, including recruiting and performance management. Oversee daily operations, including cash handling, inventory management, and compliance with GNC procedures. Participate in community events and meetings to promote GNC’s mission and initiatives. Note: Selection for the RMT position does not guarantee promotion to a Store Manager role. After 90 days, your performance will be evaluated based on several factors including performance, availability of openings, and willingness to accept a management position in the designated market. Environmental Factors & Working Schedule: Stand or walk for up to eight hours a day. Engage in frequent reaching, bending, and twisting. Use repetitive hand-to-finger motions consistently throughout the day. Lifting requirements include up to 20 pounds frequently and occasional lifting of up to 40 pounds. Climb ladders and reach/bend as necessary in various store areas. Work in temperatures ranging from 50 to 85 degrees, especially in stock rooms. Utilize a computer for up to 60% of the workday. As a Retail Management Trainee, you are expected to work five (5) days a week with flexibility as follows: Availability to work at least two weekday evenings until closing, one weekend evening, and one additional evening. Full shifts on Saturdays and a minimum of one Sunday per month. Downtown store trainees are expected to work during lunch hours and one evening per week until closing. Availability for all major U.S. holidays when the store is open.
