As a Retail General Manager (GM), you will champion Ulta Beauty's mission and values while building a high-performing team dedicated to driving sales growth in our store. You'll manage all aspects of the store, including the salon, and will be responsible for achieving excellence in performance, talent development, and operational processes. Responsibilities
Foster a culture of accountability to exceed Ulta Beauty's goals related to sales, guest loyalty, payroll, and loss prevention.
Enhance profitability through operational excellence and strategic sales growth.
Utilize forecasting and payroll budgets to maximize staffing efficiency and ensure timely completion of tasks.
Resolve issues identified through reporting and audits to meet store goals.
Engage with guests through makeup applications and product demonstrations to enhance their experience.
Stay updated on industry trends and product knowledge to better serve customers.
Ensure regular attendance and compliance with Ulta Beauty's attendance policy for all staff.
People
Recruit, hire, and retain a diverse and talented team while promptly addressing staffing needs.
Handle policy violations and facilitate corrective actions in line with corporate standards.
Build a collaborative team environment that encourages engagement and communication.
Foster inclusivity and inspire personal growth within your team.
Drive manager and associate development through continuous feedback, coaching, and training initiatives.
Promote ongoing professional development for yourself and your team.

Process
Ensure compliance with Ulta Beauty's policies and standards.
Enforce the company's dress code among staff.
Optimize staffing using scheduling tools for an exceptional guest experience.
Utilize task management systems to focus on priorities and maintain compliance.
Protect assets and minimize loss by adhering to operational procedures.
Implement diligent inventory control processes and report theft or discrepancies.
Drive continuous improvement by influencing the adoption of company initiatives.
Leverage company tools and resources to enhance store performance.
Communicate regularly with field leadership to discuss business trends and challenges.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelor's degree preferred.
Experience: 3-5+ years in fast-paced retail management or related fields.
Experience in financial management including driving sales and managing expenses.
Proven retail management experience with a focus on service culture and operational excellence.
Strong leadership skills with a focus on talent development and adaptability.
Skills
Proficient in technology including POS systems and Microsoft Office.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent collaboration and interpersonal abilities.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple priorities.
Ability to perform well under pressure and exhibit good judgment.
Special Position Requirements
Full-time schedule, availability including weekends and holidays.
Must be willing to close the store at least once a week.
Participation in corporate meetings and potential overnight travel required.
Must have valid identification for air travel.
Working Conditions
Frequent use of computers and office devices.
Continuous mobility throughout the store.
Regular bending, pushing, reaching, and lifting (up to 25 lbs).
Consistent walking and movement during shifts.
