Overview: Strategically manages Petco (PCC) stores within the assigned territory to drive increased sales and recommendation of Stella & Chewy’s products. Builds solid retail relationships and supports the retailer through business reviews, one on one training, group seminars, in-store demos, in-store promotional assistance, providing timely POS, rotating of stock on shelf, and generally assisting the retailer to knowledgably sell & recommend our products. Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Sales. Performance metrics will include both sales activities as well as sales revenue growth for targeted stores. Responsibilities: Territory Evaluation : Analyze sales data to identify growth opportunities and develop strategic plans that leverage entrepreneurial and sales-driven decision-making to enhance performance. Customer Relationship Management : Build and maintain relationships with district and store managers, department heads, and staff. Regularly review business objectives, set goals, respond to requests, and educate stakeholders on product benefits to foster recommendations to drive sales growth. Remote Relationship Management : Effectively oversee and nurture relationships at remote locations to drive performance and achieve targets as needed or where assigned. Staff Education and Relationship Building : Engage with store staff at all levels to promote product recommendations and drive point-of-sale (POS) growth, market share gains and new customer acquisitions across the territory. Top-Down Strategy Implementation : Collaborate with field leadership to efficiently extend efforts across the enterprise using strategic initiatives. Customer Conversion Advocacy : Proactively seek pet parent conversions during every store visit to enhance market share and customer acquisition, demonstrating the simplicity of selling Stella & Chewy’s products directly. Shelf Optimization : Ensure store shelves are well-maintained by removing damaged or expired products, organizing displays, and maintaining proper stock levels with correct signage. Communication of Opportunities : Identify and relay enterprise opportunities and competitive insights to the Director of Sales to inform strategic decision-making. Best Practices Sharing : Establish and disseminate best practices for training and execution across the organization, particularly in relation to Petco programs and services. Cross-Functional Understanding : Grasp the enterprise's terminology, organizational structure, and processes to effectively collaborate across functions. Growth Mindset and Team Culture : Embrace a growth-oriented foundation and foster a strong team based philosophy Efficient Office Time Management : Utilize office time effectively with a consistent approach to using company tools, reports, and programs. Requirements Desired Experience and Skills : 3+ years of sales experience is required; pet food industry experience preferred. Associates Degree is required; Bachelors preferred. Ability to travel up to 80fcgc%; including overnights. Must have a valid driver’s license and meet requirements of company travel policy. Will be issued a company vehicle. Experience with Strategic advanced planning for timely retail execution Experience maintaining accurate records of all customer contacts and produce regular activity reports within the region utilizing provided technology and related tools, i.e., company customer relationship management system or call report.
