Retail Environmental Services Technician (Class B CDL)

Clean Harbors is looking for a skilled Class B Driver (Retail Technician) to join our team and provide vital environmental services. In this role, you will be responsible for the collection and disposal of damaged, discarded, or recalled products, as well as the recycling of materials such as light bulbs, oil, oil filters, and engine fluids. On-site cleanup activities will also be part of your responsibilities. Don't worry if you don’t have your CDL B yet; Clean Harbors will cover your training costs.

Key Responsibilities:
Commit to health and safety by adhering to all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
Pick up, pack, and transport damaged and recalled products.
Load, pack, and separate materials and waste products efficiently.
Drive a box truck to various retail customer locations.
Ensure proper segregating, packing, and loading of materials and waste for safe transport.
Provide excellent customer interaction at each stop.
Prepare necessary DOT shipping documents accurately.
Utilize technology such as laptops, printers, handheld devices, and iPhones to accomplish tasks.
Conduct projects in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations and health and safety standards.
Handle jobs at various customer locations, including Fortune 500 companies.
Ensure accuracy in drum counts and that all materials are shippable according to company policies.
Adhere to hazardous materials disposal and packaging requirements specific to customer needs.
Follow all compliance regulations and safely operate vehicles in alignment with DOT and company guidelines.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Valid driver's license is required.
Strong customer service skills are essential.
Ability to proficiently use a laptop, handheld devices, printers, and iPhones.
CDL Class B or Class A with hazmat endorsement is required.
Must be able to perform physical tasks as required by the position.
Successful completion of a background check, drug test, and physical examination required.
Compliance with OSHA's Respiratory Protection standard regarding facial hair is necessary.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with commercial driving.
Familiarity with route driving.
Prior manual labor experience.
