Key Responsibilities

  • Customer Service:
  • Greet customers, answer questions about products or services, and provide recommendations.
  • Transaction Processing:
  • Operate scanners, cash registers, and other point-of-sale (POS) systems to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
  • Payment Handling:
  • Accept payments in various forms, including cash, credit cards, debit cards, and checks, and issue accurate change and receipts.
  • Merchandise Handling:
  • Accurately scan and bag items for customers, and be knowledgeable about store promotions.
  • Store Operations:
  • Maintain a clean and orderly checkout area, and assist with other tasks like stocking shelves or setting up displays as needed.

Required Skills and Qualities

  • Numerical skills and attention to detail: Crucial for accurately handling money and transactions.
  • Communication skills: To interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Reliability and honesty: Essential for handling financial responsibilities responsibly.
  • Customer service orientation: The ability to provide a positive and efficient experience.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment: Handling multiple transactions with accuracy and speed.
  • Stand on your feet for 6 - 8 hours
