Within the spirit of “Making People’s Dreams Come True”, this position is responsible for packing and delivering packages to The Villages Golf & Retail Division retail stores throughout The Villages. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers. Responsibilities: Receive merchandise from shipping companies. Maintain inventory of merchandise to be delivered. Use hand operated dolly to load and/or unload company delivery trucks. Determine the most efficient driving route to designated delivery sites. Pick up return merchandise from delivery sites and return it to Retail warehouse. Complete all required paperwork including delivery of verification paperwork. Compare and verify shipment received with the purchase order and packing slip giving detailed emphasis to style, color, size, logo color, location, and integrity. Repack merchandise and check order into receiving. Notify buyer, merchandiser and/or company of problems with the order (i.e., quantities, colors, sizes, logo color, location, etc.). Maintain detailed order status notes in the BONNIE system. Communicate with vendors, buyers and inventory associates using the BONNIE system. Label and package received merchandise for delivery to retail shops. Maintain daily delivery log for each retail unit. Receive shop returns and process documentation to return to vendors for credit or replacement. Maintain return tracking system and keep retail shops aware of status. All other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or one (1) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook. This position is subjected to The Villages Vehicle Safety Program and its policies as it requires the use of personal vehicles for company business. A Valid Driver’s License with a record acceptable to company standards is required for this position. Frequently required to push, pull, and twist packages weighing twenty-five (25) to two hundred (200) pounds, with proper equipment and assistance. Frequently required to lift, lower, carry and/or move up to ten (10) to fifty (50) pounds with proper equipment and assistance.
