Summary The primary responsibility of the sales associate is to provide exceptional customer service to internal and external visitors to the store. Sales associates are responsible for assisting with customer questions, ringing sales into the POS system, stock replenishment, store cleanliness, inventories and settling cash and credit sales at the end of the day. Duties & Responsibilities Provide a high level of customer service Handle merchandise sales Product knowledge and stock replenishment Perform periodic inventories Process transactions using the POS system and reconcile cash transactions Maintain store cleanliness Maintain open communication with supervisor at all times Maintain a professional attitude and appearance at all times Perform other related duties and tasks as assigned or as become evident Minimum Qualifications for the Position: A high school diploma or equivalent Customer service/retail sales experience is preferred Point of Sale Terminal (POS) system/cash handling experience preferred Must stand and sell merchandise to customers during shift Some lifting of boxes is necessary, up to fifty (50) pounds Be able to work a schedule that includes evenings, weekends and holidays as needed Critical Competencies Must have excellent communication and organization skills Must be able to remain calm and professional in all situations Must be committed to providing exceptional customer service Must possess good interpersonal skills Compensation The pay for this role is $15.50 an hour.
