General Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Retail Assistant Supervisor! In this role, you will collaborate closely with the General Manager to oversee and enhance the overall operations of the store. Your responsibilities will encompass various areas including accounting, marketing, customer service, human resources, and food service. You will lead and support the store team to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Deliver exceptional customer service and manage day-to-day food service operations while being actively involved in all aspects. Work alongside the FiveStar team to guarantee that customers receive outstanding service as per our company's guidelines. Facilitate comprehensive training for the store team to ensure they are well-prepared for their roles. Educate team members on company policies and effective communication strategies. Assist the General Manager in resolving store issues effectively for long-term solutions. Manage merchandising activities and maintain proper inventory levels by evaluating displays, pricing, and promotional signage. Foster an inviting atmosphere by promoting the FiveStar treatment, ensuring customer needs are met and encouraging suggestive selling. Ensure robust inventory control measures are followed, equipment is maintained, staffing is adequate, and safety guidelines are adhered to. Support the oversight of food service operations, assessing food quality, appearance, and compliance with service guidelines. Assume responsibility for store operations in the absence of the General Manager. Gain a solid understanding of profit & loss statements to aid in business decisions. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience. At least 1 year of retail management experience or equivalent educational background. Must possess a valid driver's license. Must be at least 18 years old. Exhibit a professional appearance and maintain a positive attitude. Demonstrate teamwork, customer-focused service, integrity, diligence, and excellent attendance records. Basic computer proficiency is required. Physical Requirements: Availability to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Ability to stand, push, pull, reach, bend, squat, climb, walk, and lift up to 55 lbs. daily; work in cold environments (35 degrees or less) and participate in food service preparation.
