Retail Assistant Manager

We’re excited to announce an opening for a Retail Assistant Manager to join our dynamic team! This is a fantastic opportunity to support store operations, enhance customer service, and aid in the development of our team. Your role will involve:
Assisting with daily store activities and maintaining smooth operations
Engaging with customers in a friendly and approachable manner, addressing their questions or concerns
Organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery truck to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal areas are well-maintained
Executing opening and closing procedures to ensure security and efficiency
Implementing corporate directives, such as Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and more
Maintaining the promotional effectiveness of store front fixtures and displays
Assisting in merchandise ordering, processing damaged items, and maintaining accurate record keeping (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits, etc.)
Ensuring a tidy and well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom to meet company standards
Protecting and securing company assets, including store cash
Adhering to policies and safety guidelines while ensuring all associates do the same
Helping supervise, train, and develop Store Associates under the guidance of the Store Manager
Fostering a positive, safe, and respectful environment for customers and team members
Maintaining cleanliness throughout the store, including bathrooms, floors, and overall presentation
Performing other related duties as assigned
Skills and Experience:
Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent; required: ability to read and interpret operational directives
Preferably prior experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management
Physical capability to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet the demands of a dynamic work environment
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
Ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-focused environment
Exceptional customer service and strong organizational skills
Proficient problem-solving and decision-making abilities
