Join Our Team as a Retail Assistant Manager! We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic Retail Assistant Manager who is passionate about delivering exceptional customer service and leading a team. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring the smooth operation of our store while creating an engaging shopping experience for our customers. Support daily store activities and manage day-to-day functions effectively. Provide outstanding customer service by addressing questions and concerns in a friendly, approachable manner. Assist with organizing and transferring merchandise from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal displays are well-maintained. Help perform opening and closing store procedures as needed. Implement corporate directives related to inventory management, compliance, and store activities. Ensure promotional displays and store front fixtures are visually appealing and maintain promotional effectiveness. Assist in inventory management, including ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and maintaining accurate record-keeping, including payroll and scheduling. Maintain a clean, organized sales floor and stockroom that meets company standards. Safeguard company assets, including cash handling and loss prevention. Ensure compliance with safety guidelines and company policies among all store associates. Support the Store Manager in training and developing team members for success. Foster a positive, respectful, and safe work environment for customers and staff alike. Perform regular cleaning and maintenance throughout the store to ensure a welcoming atmosphere. Other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives is essential. Experience in retail management, grocery, or drug store settings is a plus. Must be able to lift up to 55 lbs and meet physical demands including frequent walking, standing, and lifting. Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills to connect with customers and team members. Proven ability to work effectively in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
