Overview: As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a vital role in managing store operations and staff in the absence of the Store Manager. Responsibilities: Assist the Store Manager in maintaining store cleanliness standards on the sales floor and in the stockroom. Set up sales and promotions efficiently with proper signage. Ensure the proper execution of register functions and adherence to company policies. Implement visual merchandising standards and current floor set to enhance merchandise presentation. Recognize and communicate customer merchandise needs to ensure customer satisfaction. Support Store Manager with markdowns and transfers to optimize stock management. Drive sales and profitability by meeting or exceeding sales goals. Communicate operational goals to maximize team contributions toward the sales plan. Monitor and evaluate individual team member performance metrics. Assist in the training of associates in register and operational functions. Secure company funds as outlined in company policies. Key Partnerships: Store Management Human Resources District Manager Asset Protection Qualifications: Must be 18 years or older. 2+ years of retail leadership experience preferred. High School Diploma or equivalent; college degree is a plus. Able to respond to store alarm issues as necessary. Strong communication and organizational skills. Driven to achieve results with a proactive approach to problem-solving. Candidate should be able to stand for extended periods. Able to lift items between 15-30 pounds.
