Join our dynamic team as a Retail Assistant Manager! You will play a critical role in enhancing store operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and fostering team development. Your responsibilities will include the following:
Support daily store activities and ensure smooth operations.
Engage customers with a friendly and helpful attitude, addressing their inquiries and concerns.
Assist in organizing and transferring merchandise from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor while maintaining seasonal displays.
Carry out opening and closing procedures efficiently.
Implement corporate directives regarding inventory management and communications related to store activities.
Optimize the promotional effectiveness of store-front displays and fixtures.
Assist in inventory ordering, handling damaged merchandise, and maintain accurate records such as payroll and cash management.
Ensure a well-stocked sales floor and an organized stockroom, adhering to company standards.
Safeguard company assets, including cash management practices.
Follow safety guidelines and ensure all team members comply with company policies and procedures.
Assist the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates.
Promote a positive, safe, and respectful environment for everyone, maintaining professionalism in interactions.
Oversee store cleanliness, including restocking and cleaning bathrooms, sweeping and mopping floors, taking out the trash, and keeping all areas presentable.
Perform any additional duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience Required:
High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; ability to read and interpret operational directives is essential.
Previous experience in retail, grocery, or drugstore management is advantageous.
You should be able to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet the physical demands of frequent walking, standing, stooping, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills are essential. You must thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
