Join Our Team as a Retail Assistant Manager! We are excited to invite applications for the position of Retail Assistant Manager to contribute to our store's success through exceptional operations, customer service, and team development. This role is vital in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers while supporting our store team. Here are the key responsibilities you will embrace: Support daily store operations and assist with various functions to ensure a smooth workflow. Engage with customers in a friendly manner, addressing inquiries and resolving any concerns they may have. Organize and manage merchandise transfers from delivery trucks to stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal displays are well-maintained. Execute opening and closing procedures effectively as needed. Implement all corporate directives, including Task Compliance and Key Survey information requests, alongside additional store activity communications. Maintain impactful promotional displays and store-front decorations. Assist in ordering stock, handling damaged goods, and maintaining accurate records for payroll, scheduling, cash handling, and loss prevention. Ensure that all areas of the store, including the sales floor and stockroom, are well-stocked and organized according to company standards. Protect store assets, including maintaining secure cash handling procedures. Adhere to safety guidelines and ensure all team members follow store policies and procedures. Collaborate with the Store Manager in supervising, training, and developing Store Associates. Foster a positive and safe work environment, ensuring professional and friendly interactions among customers, associates, and leadership. Maintain store cleanliness, including restocking and tidying up bathrooms, mopping floors, disposing of trash, and ensuring a presentable store ambiance. Undertake additional duties as assigned. Skills and Experience High school diploma or equivalent preferred; must effectively read and interpret operational directives. Prior store management experience in a retail, grocery, or drug store environment is preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 55 lbs., along with frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, pushing, and pulling.
