Join Our Team as a Retail Assistant Manager! We are excited to invite an enthusiastic Retail Assistant Manager to support our store operations and elevate customer service while fostering team development. In this dynamic role, your responsibilities will include: Assisting with daily store functions and ensuring smooth operations. Engaging with customers positively, addressing their inquiries and concerns. Organizing and transferring merchandise from delivery to the sales floor while maintaining seasonal areas of the store. Executing opening and closing procedures efficiently. Processing corporate directives and maintaining clear communications related to store activities. Enhancing promotional effectiveness of storefront displays and fixtures. Assisting in merchandise ordering, maintaining records (payroll, scheduling, cash register deposits), and implementing loss prevention strategies. Ensuring a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom that meet company standards. Safeguarding company assets, including store cash. Upholding policies and procedures, including safety guidelines, and guiding store associates in compliance. Helping the Store Manager train and develop Store Associates. Fostering a positive, respectful, and safe environment for customers and team members while maintaining professionalism. Maintaining store cleanliness, including restocking bathrooms, sweeping, mopping, and taking out trash. Performing additional duties as assigned. Required Skills and Experience: High school diploma or equivalent preferred; ability to interpret operational directives is crucial. Previous experience in retail, grocery, or drug store management preferred. Physical requirements include the ability to lift up to 55 lbs. and meet demands of walking, standing, kneeling, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting. Key qualities for success in this role are strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills. An enthusiastic approach to teamwork and exceptional customer service abilities are a must.
