Retail Assistant Manager Join our dynamic team as a Retail Assistant Manager, where you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth store operations, delivering outstanding customer service, and fostering team development. Your responsibilities will include: Supporting store functions and daily activities to maintain efficient operations. Providing exceptional customer service by assisting shoppers with their inquiries and addressing their concerns in a friendly manner. Coordinating merchandise organization and transfer from the delivery truck to the stockroom and sales floor, ensuring seasonal displays are well-maintained. Executing opening and closing procedures effectively. Implementing corporate directives including Pull and Hold/Destroy, Task Compliance, and Key Survey information requests. Maintaining the promotional effectiveness of store fixtures and displays to attract customers. Assisting in ordering merchandise, processing damaged items, and keeping accurate records of payroll, scheduling, and cash transactions. Ensuring a well-stocked sales floor and organized stockroom in accordance with company standards. Protecting company assets, including cash, while adhering to safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with policies. Assisting the Store Manager in supervising, training, and nurturing the development of Store Associates. Creating a positive, safe, and respectful environment that encourages professional and friendly interactions among customers, associates, and leadership. Overseeing store cleanliness, which includes cleaning and restocking restrooms, mopping floors, and ensuring the presentation of all areas. Performing other duties as assigned. Skills and Experience: Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent, with the ability to read and interpret operational directives. Previous store management experience in retail, grocery, or drug store settings is preferred. Physical capabilities include lifting up to 55 lbs. overhead and engaging in frequent walking, standing, bending, climbing, pushing, pulling, and repetitive lifting tasks. Strong communication, interpersonal, and writing skills are essential, combined with the ability to thrive in a high-energy, team-oriented environment.
