As a Retail Assistant Manager, you will play a crucial role in supporting the management of our retail operations. This position requires a proactive individual who can step in as the leader of the store when necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
Embody and promote our organizational culture while driving our Mission, Vision, and Values.
Support the daily management of the retail store and supervise store associates.
Act as the Store Manager in their absence and ensure smooth store operations at all times.
Assist in training new associates to foster a knowledgeable and capable team.
Help prepare essential store reports to track performance and operational success.
Maintain safety and security standards within the store; promptly report any incidents to management.
Follow and implement company policies and procedures for effective store operations.
Contribute to initiatives aimed at driving sales, maintaining profit margins, and controlling expenses.
Assist in the opening and closing procedures of the store as directed.
Support daily financial activities, including check-ups and bank deposits.
Help ensure the store's interior and exterior appearance aligns with company standards, including staff presentation.
Assist in maintaining accurate records and files necessary for store operations.
Review and approve payroll, ensuring timecard accuracy.
Implement shrinkage control measures, including reporting theft as applicable.
Assist in resolving customer and personnel issues in a professional manner.
Carry out additional tasks related to the retail apparel/footwear industry.
Support the Store Manager with various other responsibilities as directed by supervisors or corporate office.
Understand and act on reports provided by the corporate office to drive associate performance toward business goals.
Qualifications and Requirements
Ability to understand and comprehend basic instructions clearly.
Skill in interpreting documents accurately.
Proficient in applying abstract principles to diverse and complex challenges.
Adept at understanding terminology and effectively communicating responses.
Capable of analyzing information and generating insightful reports.
Must be able to read and comprehend English.
Capable of understanding spoken English during interactions.
Ability to remain alert and attentive during assigned work hours.
