Job Summary: Assist with the leadership and daily operations of Patagonia, while focusing on customer satisfaction and financial performance. Helps oversee and direct work of Sales Associates.

Hourly:
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Palisades Tahoe Resort, LLC's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include short-term and long-term incentives and many region-specific benefits.
Base hourly pay range: $22.60 - $29.38 per hour

Essential Job Responsibilities/Duties/Tasks include the following: other duties may be assigned: Assist in managing a team of 10-20 employees. Assist in supervisory responsibilities such as interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Comply with Federal and California Labor law in all phases of the payroll and employment process; from hiring through termination, as well as all Company policies & procedures.
Enforce safety standards in accordance with company policies and procedures.
Motivate and lead Sales Associates to achieve and succeed monthly sales goals
Implement selling and product training techniques for all Sales Associates in order to achieve sales objectives. Implement contests or sales incentives on a monthly basis and recognize top performers.
Develop staff in maintaining merchandise presentation of sales floor, in-store product knowledge
Write and monitor weekly schedules for all Sales Associates based on labor payroll projections. Approve and oversee accuracy in weekly time keeping logs, submit all paperwork in a timely fashion
Implement weekly tasks and work assignments for each Sales Associates based on inventories, shipment, product displays, customer orders, back stock, and paperwork
Understand product mix and best-selling item reports. Communicate results with Retail Store Manager on a weekly basis
Communication on all out-of-stock items to be discussed with Retail Operations Manager, Buyer, Distribution Manager, and Director of Retail in a timely manner.
Hold staff responsible to the highest standards in professional appearance and grooming, parking policy, operational procedures, phone etiquette and use of company equipment
Competencies and Job Requirements:
Required: Able to communicate effectively in writing and verbally across all levels of the organization.
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks.
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and interact with others
Working knowledge of computers including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Access)
Proven leadership abilities working in a team environment, ability to develop people.
Self-motivated, guest oriented, works well under pressure
Able to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Able to write routine reports and correspondence.
Knowledge of trends in the industry and adapting to our customer base.
Flexibility to work hours determined by business levels and needs of retail outlets, under the direction of the Retail Operations Manager. This may include holidays, weekends, and early morning or late evening work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk, talk, see, and hear. Must be capable of walking or standing 80% or more of a normal 8-hour work shift. Must be capable of occasionally carrying, lifting, pushing or pulling up to 25lbs. Must be capable of occasionally squatting, bending, kneeling, reaching, and balancing, able to climb ladders and shovel snow. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perceptions and the ability to adjust focus.
Working Conditions:
Indoor/Outdoor: While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be exposed to outside weather conditions. The employee will frequently be exposed to extreme cold, wetness and/or humidity, and occasionally blizzards and extreme storm conditions.
Hazardous Materials/Noise: The noise level in the workplace is usually moderate.

Education and Experience:
Required: High School Diploma or GED
Three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Two years supervisory experience
Preferred Bachelor's Degree
Experience in ski industry
