_CFC Farm and Home Center is looking to add a team-oriented individual to our company! We are a local feed, seed, fertilizer, and retail business with seven locations throughout Virginia that have proudly served local farmers and members of the community since 1932. Here at CFC, we strive to serve both agricultural producers and homeowners across Northern and Central Virginia. We do this by manufacturing our own animal feed from locally sourced grains, offer services in agronomy and animal nutrition, and by providing a wide variety of products for all types of consumers. _
*Summary: *
Retail Administrative Assistants handle the administrative functions of the assigned store location. This individual will work closely with management staff to achieve their duties.
*What to Expect: *
Responsibilities include:
* Performing the bookkeeping duties such as compiling information for the daily reports, preparing bank deposits, and closing the store POS system.
* Answering all incoming calls in a timely manner and forward them to the proper person.
* Taking sales orders from customer callers, and place sales orders with suppliers.
* Ordering office supplies for the store.
* Updating product information book and procedures manuals for the store.
* Sending overdue account reminders to customers and maintain up to date "No Charge" list.
* Correcting employee timecards and forward them to the Personnel Office for payment.
* Performing clerical work such as typing letters and memos, sorting and distributing mail, posting bulletins, and notifying employees of special programs and scheduled meetings.
* Performing sales functions, when needed.
* Assisting with assuring accuracy of computer inventory control system. Duties include improving inventory turnover, correcting variances, and maintaining proper inventory levels to achieve maximum turnover and customer service.
* Assisting with verifying accurate receipt and billing of merchandise from Co-op vendors and stores.
* Maintaining proper safety and housekeeping standards in the assigned work area, as described in the Employee Manual.
* Performing any other duties, as directed.
