The Bradley Hotel The Bradley Hotel is seeking Servers and Bartenders for our rooftop restaurant, Birdie's and lobby restaurant, Arbor! The Server will contribute to the mission and success of Provenance Hotel Group by creating exceptional ways of personalizing and providing the best guest service in the hospitality industry and ensuring our high standards of service are met. The Server will provide prompt and courteous service to all guests, encouraging the guest to return again which will generate repeat business. The Server is responsible for providing quality guest services that include providing a positive first and last impression and a friendly, upbeat and clean atmosphere to every guest. When servicing guests, the Server is responsible for being professional, friendly, and helpful, using the "Five Hospitality Standards" of eye contact, a smile, speak first, engage in polite conversation, and use the guest's surname.
Essential functions include providing fast, friendly, professional and responsive customer service to restaurant guests, restaurant staff and culinary production team. The Server will greet, and make welcome, each guest seated in assigned station within 1 minute. Serves initial beverage order within 5 minutes of guest being seated. Provides service to and is accountable for an assigned station. Responsible to "up sell" on any given opportunity. Responsible to generate average food and beverage in accordance to budget. Performs opening, running and closing procedures including but not limited to the set up and break down of stations, clearing and re-setting up of tables, when necessary and checking tables before service is provided. Maintains and ensures the overall cleanliness of assigned station and the establishment. Performs accurate cash/credit handling and POS procedures. Up sells food and beverage menu items. Provides friendly, courteous and professional service to all internal and external customers/guests, at all times. Helps support staff (bussers, runners) when needed (running food, bussing tables) in order to comply with standards and provide responsive customer service. Must be knowledgeable about Hotel, Restaurant/Lounge and surroundings, i.e. nearby entertainment, stores, hotels, etc Retains and maintains complete knowledge of all food and beverage menu items. Performs all duties and sequences of service in adherence to standards. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary. Must be able to report to work on time and on a regular basis. Invites and welcomes guests back upon completion of their visit. Follow and maintain the Hotel's professional image guidelines to communicate the Provenance style message to the guests and the general public. Contribute to hotel goals for increasing sales and improving profits. Enthusiastically recommend and promote all hotel functions and facilities. Submit all lost and found articles accompanied by a Lost and Found report to Housekeeping. Regular attendance in conformance with Hotel standards is essential to the successful performance of this position. Fully comply with Provenance hotels rules and regulations for the safe and efficient operation of the hotel facilities. Attend mandatory meetings. Must be able to work a flexible schedule and late hours when necessary. Must be knowledgeable about Hotel, Restaurant/Lounge and surroundings, i.e. nearby entertainment, stores, hotels, etc. Must be able to report to work on time and on a regular basis. Other duties as assigned.
