Regular Full Time Pastry Cook I Four Seasons Resort Rancho Encantado Santa Fe is seeking a dynamic individual for Pastry Cook I. An individual who shares our passion for achieving service excellence and infuses enthusiasm into everything he/she does! What are we looking for and what can you bring to the table? 3- 4 years of experience in similar Pastry kitchen/hotel operation. High school education, cooking school or culinary institute education preferred. Run the day to day operation of assigned station in the Pastry Shop. Check with other staff to make sure their stations are ready and prepared beyond estimated needs. Complete missed place and set up station for breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service. We're looking for a genuine caring and compassionate individual with a passion for hospitality that possess integrity and accountability. Act as a liaison between the line-staff and kitchen management to insure the pastry staff is operating in at the expected level set by the Resort Culinary Management. Assist in setting up plans and actions to correct any food cost problems; control food waste, loss and usage per policies. Return all food items not used to designated storage. An individual who lets their personality shine through and can be themselves. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule in order to accomplish all major responsibilities. This may include some evenings, weekends and holidays. This position requires the ability to lift up to 40lb. Successful candidate must possess legal work authorization in the United States. Proficiency in English. What would my job responsibilities be? The Pastry Cook 1 is an essential member of the Food & Beverage culinary team. The Pastry Cook 1 prepares a consistent product for all orders in restaurant, banquet events and In Room Dining outlets in accordance with production requirements and quality standards while maintaining a safe and sanitary work environment. The Kitchen presents and endless amount of opportunities of learning and growth for line cook positions of all levels. Set up and complete any items in preparation for the daily operations and set up stations. Effectively operate, maintain, and properly clean pastry equipment. Act as a liaison between the line-staff and kitchen management to insure the kitchen staff is operating at the expected level set by the resort culinary management.
