Regional Sales Manager – Pittsburgh, Midwest and West – Retail Sales
Location: Yardley, PA (Pennsylvania) with significant travel required. Salary: $203,400.00 – $263,200.00 (range shown for context).
Overview
Lead business development for Ateeco Inc. (Mrs. T’s Pierogies) regional portfolio within designated geographies to achieve volume and profit objectives through effective management of food brokers. Manage trade spending to maximize effectiveness and accomplish brand objectives. Align Mrs. T’s goals with customer priorities while executing customer level business plans and achieving Sales Controllable objectives (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving).
Essential Functions and Responsibilities
Manage Mrs. T’s business in the Pittsburgh/Cleveland region with Acosta (Giant Eagle, UNFI, Marc’s); Mid-West Grand Rapids/Chicago with Acosta (Meijer, Spartan Nash, Certco and Jewel); JOH (Target and UNFI) and West Retailers with Acosta (Albertsons, WinCo).
Build relationships with key customer personnel across functions to develop and execute programs at strategic and tactical levels. Execute mutually beneficial brand plans for consistent account penetration.
Lead broker organizations and business managers to use category management best practices to achieve sales controllables (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelving and Trade Fund Management).
Manage accrual budgets to ensure spending and promotions meet guidelines and deliver profitable growth versus plan.
Maintain customer deductions at a zero balance.
Achieve brand share gains at account greater than or equal to market/customer growth; deliver base and incremental volume goals through optimizing promotional/performance mix.
Ensure adherence to company policies through effective communications to brokers and the trade.
Develop accurate sales forecasts to optimize production planning and ensure best-in-class service levels.
Cross-functionally manage to lead customer initiatives.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required: Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance or a related field.
Required: 1-3 years of experience in roles such as Analyst, Sales Planning/Administration, or Junior Account Manager.
Required: Broker Management & Account Experience with Grocery Retailers.
Valued: An MBA or Master’s Degree; 3+ years of CPG brokered or direct account sales; experience in roles such as CD/RGM, Account Manager, Sales Finance, Marketing, Customer Facing SC; and account experience with Giant Eagle and Meijer.
The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Significant travel and hours flexibility required for this position. Work schedule and travel requirements may vary.
