DescriptionLead business development for an Ateeco Inc. (Mrs. T's Pierogies) regional portfolio within designated geographies to achieve volume and profit objectives through the effective management of food brokers. To manage trade spending to efficiently maximize effectiveness and accomplish individual brand objectives. Find common ground between Mrs. T's objectives and customer priorities while executing customer level business plans and achieving Sales Controllable objectives (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing and Shelving).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Manage Mrs. T's business in the Pittsburgh/Cleveland region with Acosta (Giant Eagle, UNFI, Marc's), Mid-West Grand Rapids/Chicago with Acosta (Meijer, Spartan Nash, Certco and Jewel); and JOH(Target and UNFI) and West Retailers with Acosta (Albertsons, WinCo).Build relationships with key customer personnel across all functions to develop and execute programs at both strategic and tactical levels. Execute mutually beneficial brand plans for consistent account penetration.Lead broker organizations and business managers to use category management best practices to achieve sales controllables (Merchandising, Assortment, Pricing, Shelving and Trade Fund Management).Manage the accrual budgets to ensure spending and promotional criteria are within promotional guidelines and deliver profitable growth versus plan.Maintain customer deductions at a zero balance.Achieve brand share gains at account greater than or equal to market/customer growth, deliver base and incremental volume goals through maximizing promotional/performance mix.Ensure adherence to company policies through effective communications to Brokers and to the trade.Develop accurate sales forecasts to optimize production planning and ensure the delivery of product at best-in-class service levels.Cross-functionally manage to lead customer initiatives.Other duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLLS & ABILITIES FOR SUCCESS:Problem Solving & Decision MakingUsing logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Detail oriented and thorough.Ability to work within the parameters of the Sales department policies, procedures, and practices, and challenge based on continuous improvement and best practice.Ability to leverage department resources and knowledge.Ability to leverage external resources when an issue does not have a known solution.InterpersonalProven experience building strong relationships with customers.Ability to understand customer objectives and issues and develop recommended solutions or options to respond to their needs.Ability to interpret and provide clear direction, verbally and in writing, to end users.Must be assertive and professional.Motivates internal team members by openly communicating information about customers and projects to ensure they understand why their role and work is important for success.Personal OrganizationAbility to work under pressure of a deadline and maintain promised deliverables.Maintains sense of urgency and is action oriented.Work independently.Apply project management principles.Knowledge & SkillsComputer proficiency - MS Office and other forecasting/trade management systems.Exceptional Communication/presentation skills.Advanced Category/brand analytics - IRI preferred.Proprietary Customer system analytics and account management via. Retail Link.Selling and Negotiation Acumen.P&L management.QUALIFICATIONS:Required: Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Finance or a related field.Required: 1-3 years of experience in roles such as Analyst, Sales Planning/Administration, or Junior Account Manager.Required: Broker Management & Account Experience with Grocery RetailersValued: An MBA or Master's Degree, 3+ years of CPG Brokered or Direct Account Sales, experience in roles such as CD/RGM, Account Manager, Sales Finance, Marketing, Customer Facing SC, and specific account experience with Giant Eagle and Meijer.Compensation: The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience and qualifications. A candidate meeting the minimum requirements may be offered a salary at the starting point of the range, while a highly qualified candidate with extensive experience may be placed at the higher end of the range.Significant travel and hours flexibility required for this position.Work Schedule and travel requirements may vary.***The candidate will reside in Pennsylvania and desires to work for a family-held company
