The Receptionist's primary role involves answering incoming telephone calls and welcoming visitors in a warm, enthusiastic, and supportive manner. As the first point of contact for the dealership, the Receptionist creates a positive atmosphere by demonstrating exceptional listening skills and knowledge as a valuable resource. Being familiar with all department contacts within the dealership is crucial to providing prompt assistance to customers. Additionally, the Receptionist is responsible for handling administrative tasks and managing the telephone switchboard for efficient call routing.
The ideal candidate should possess a high school diploma or GED and have previous experience in a similar position (e.g., front desk, administrative assistant). Candidates must exhibit a pleasant and courteous demeanor, strong organizational and administrative abilities, proficient phone and computer skills, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills. While automotive dealership experience is beneficial, it is not required.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Warmly greet and assist all customers
Communicate and address inquiries and concerns with the relevant department personnel
Redirect customer complaints to the appropriate staff
Provide administrative support to various dealership departments as necessary
Complete any other assigned duties
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED
Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, including the ability to remain composed under pressure
Strong telephone etiquette
Effective organizational and time management abilities
Friendly and helpful attitude
Highly professional and reliable
Proficient in computer and internet skills, specifically Microsoft Office suite and GO-TO Phone system
