Overview A law firm in San Diego, CA is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Real Estate Legal Assistant to join their team supporting attorneys in sophisticated commercial real estate finance matters. This role plays a key part in preparing legal documentation, reviewing title and loan documents, assisting with closings, and maintaining impeccable client service standards. This is a hybrid role with a warm, team-oriented firm that values collaboration and professionalism. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting attorneys who represent financial institutions on complex real estate transactions, and thrives in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. Base pay range: $80,000.00/yr - $90,000.00/yr Location: San Diego, CA Responsibilities Prepare, draft, and revise commercial real estate loan documents Assist attorneys with loan closings and post-closing deliveries Review title reports and manage related documentation Organize and track loan packages and document submissions Maintain transaction files and ensure timely execution of deliverables Coordinate with team members based on assigned client groups Support attorneys managing 2535 active matters at once

Requirements Minimum 3 years of legal assistant experience, specifically in commercial real estate finance Prior experience supporting attorneys representing financial institutions Familiarity with loan documents, title review, and closing procedures Strong Microsoft Office skills Exceptional organization and multi-tasking abilities in a fast-paced environment Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-based setting A positive, flexible, and team-oriented attitude Paralegal certificate or BA degree is preferred
