Quality Engineer Automation Architect - Retail Media Network

The QE Automation Architect for Retail Media Network (RMN) will lead the design and implementation of scalable, intelligent test automation frameworks across Best Buy's retail media platforms. This role will focus on enabling high-quality, high-velocity software delivery through modern automation tools, service virtualization, and seamless integration with DevOps pipelines.
This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days at our corporate office in Richfield, Minnesota, and some days virtually from home or another non-Best Buy location. What you'll do Architect and implement robust test automation frameworks using Selenium, Cypress, and Tosca to support UI, API, and end-to-end testing across RMN platforms Drive intelligent automation strategies that integrate with CI/CD pipelines and support shift-left testing Leverage service virtualization tools (e.g., Tricentis Virtualize, WireMock, Parasoft) to simulate complex third-party and internal system dependencies Collaborate with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed quality engineering practices throughout the SDLC Define and enforce test automation standards, reusable libraries, and best practices across squads Integrate automated tests into DevOps pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps to enable continuous testing and faster feedback loops Mentor QE engineers and enable automation maturity across distributed teams
Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related technical field 5 years of experience in test automation or quality engineering 3 years of hands on experience with Selenium, Cypress, and/or Tosca for test automation 2 years of experience with service virtualization tools and techniques 2 years of experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps 1 year of experience with cloud platforms (AWS and/or GCP) and containerized environments (Docker, Kubernetes) Strong understanding of Agile methodologies and test lifecycle management
Preferred Qualifications 7+ years of experience in quality engineering or test automation 1 year of experience working in Retail Media Networks, AdTech, or MarTech platforms (preferred but not required) 1 year of experience with campaign execution, audience segmentation, ad serving, or attribution systems 1 year of experience with test data management, synthetic monitoring, and test environment orchestration Proven ability to lead quality transformation initiatives across distributed teams
