Position Summary: Connestee Falls has recently renovated its 26,000 square foot clubhouse, which features a large main dining room with an excellent menu, a lounge with full bar and a sports grill. The clubhouse also offers banquet facilities with a large hall and meeting rooms that are available for private events. At Connestee Falls, we take pride in providing a year-round fine dining experience to our members, to their guests and to the public. Our Food & Beverage team members are responsible for setting the pace for a great shift, every shift. They provide dependable and fast service to our members & guests. We are seeking fun, dependable, and high-energy individuals to join our team as part-time service staff. This position is responsible for serving all food and beverage items as requested by members and guests in a professional, knowledgeable, respectful, and courteous manner. The ideal candidate must be able to understand and communicate food and beverage selections, have a team focused mentality, and adhere to the company`s standards of service. A professional appearance and clean work environment are a must. This position must also display a positive and friendly attitude. The position also provides overall set-up, service and closing procedures of the dining facilities and banquet parties. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Accountable for assigned opening and closing job duties as well as completing daily tasks assigned including the set-up and breakdown of all rooms necessary for service, i.e cleaning, organizing and detailing of dining rooms and stations.
Delivers extremely courteous, cordial and polite service to members, guests and co-workers.
Sets up side station and performs assigned side work.
Provides immediate attention to all members and guests upon seating.
Distributes menu, answers question regarding menu items and suggests menu items.
Takes food and drink orders, delivers beverages and menu items in a courteous manner, and carries out customer requests.
Enters order in point-of-sale system accurately and timely, places orders with kitchen, informs chefs of any special cooking instructions.
Assembles food on tray and procures items for each station, as necessary.
Serves meal, places dishes by courses in front of each dining guest in accordance to standards of service.
Checks to ensure member and guest satisfaction while replenishing water and butter as needed.
Removes dishes, glasses and dinnerware as needed.
Verifies accuracy of prices, state and federal taxes, tips and other charges on all checks.
Presents the bill to the dining guest(s) and accepts payment.
Keeps tables, dining room and bus stations areas clean in accordance to health and safety standards.
Advises supervisor of any complaints as soon as they occur.
Performs clean-up and closing duties as assigned.
Attends staff meetings as requested by management.
Follows proper health and safety standards.
Works as a team to ensure that dining customers and banquet guests receive exceptional service.
Complies with all company safety policies and procedures.
Wears company-approved uniform and maintains a professional, clean and well-kept attire.
Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications: Must be at least 18 years of age due to sale and serving of alcohol.
Minimum of 2 to 4 years of related work experience. Fine dining experience preferred.
Must have thorough knowledge of menus and dietary restrictions.
Must be able to acquire and retain knowledge of menu items.
Must possess good written and excellent oral communication skills to effectively communicate with members, guests, and co-workers.
Must be able to adhere to service standards, health and safety guidelines, and cleanliness requirements.
Must have 2 to 3 years of computer related or Point of Sale experience.
Drug Test and Background Check required.
Physical Demands: Must be able to perform physical labor requiring continual and repetitive use of large motor skills to stand, walk, sit, bend, stoop, crawl, crouch, shovel, push, pull, twist, turn, stretch, reach, and continual and repetitive use of fine motor skills and manual dexterity.
Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
Must be able to reach, bend, stoop, push and/or pull, and lift up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 40lbs.
Must be able to work weekends and Holidays if needed
Must be able to work around equipment that generates heat.
Must be able to hear, see, taste, touch, and smell. Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, ability to distinguish colors and different shades of color.
Must be able to comply with safety and health requirements.
Work Schedule:
Daytime shift:10am - 4pm; Afternoon/Evening shift: 12pm - 8pm or 4pm - 9pm. Weekends required.
