Position at New Pig Corporation New Pig Corporation Manufacturing Location: Tipton, PA Shift Supervisor/Line Operator – MB Process (composite materials from plastics-based fibers) A-Shift (7am – 7pm) Primary responsibility of the Shift Supervisor/Line Operator is to manage MB process shift through “lead by example” principles. Professionalism, mutual respect, and integrity are essential to maintaining a structured and well-engaged workforce. Quality is vital to the MB process where continual process adjustments must be made in order maintain material performance specifications. Fostering safe work practices is also essential. Responsibilities: Line Operations – Backup to Shift Lead Perform Line Start-up and Shutdown
Adhere to allowable established process ranges, continual process monitoring and adjust process settings as required to maintain material performance to standard
Monitor colorant and topical additives dosing. Adjust as necessary to meet product quality standards.
Operate equipment for a specialized continuous production line via computerized control systems (HMI-human-machine interface)
Product Testing & Analysis Product quality sampling and testing that adheres to established QC guidelines
Manage and execute the collection, testing and analysis of products in real-time to ensure fast feedback for in-spec production.
Develop expertise in product specifications, testing methods, and equipment
Lead a shift team that works together constructively to achieve output and quality goals
Develop technical knowledge of equipment and raw materials to enable efficient and productive output of specified product performance
Adhere and ensure compliance to all Safety, Environmental, and Quality standards and specifications
Perform all other production-related duties as assigned or directed. Demonstrate a commitment to all tasks.
Foster a positive and safe work environment. Support and follow company policies and procedures.
General Manage Shift Production Team and activities and perform all tasks/duties related to technical operations of the line
Ensure organization of plant areas are maintained to standard
Proactively engage shift team members and structure tasks to keep actively productive
Through on-the-job experience, make determinations for nonconformances and manage product flow management of QA/QC Hold area
Review and audit timecards for shift employees for payroll
Adhering to allowable established process ranges, make suggestions of process adjustments to Shift Lead/Line Operator
Enter inventory transactions via Syteline, Factory Track, and FLOW systems and ensure accuracy through review
Oversee trailer loading and shipping transfers
Under responsibilities of production, maintain equipment as required
Ensure compliance of continual job-related training to ensure tasks are of consistent performance
Oversee lift truck training for certification and ensure compliance to safe operating practices by shift
Ensure production area housekeeping and organization are maintained to expected standards
Complete production reporting
Qualifications : Ability to work overtime when required
Fork and clamp truck certification (Possess or obtain via New Pig training)
High School diploma or equivalent
Math skills – ability to perform basic math functions and conversions
Physical activity – lift up to 30 pounds continuously and up to 50 pounds occasionally
Production standards – capable of producing all products to standard rate established guidelines
Familiarity with basic computer use
