Essential Duties, Functions, & Responsibilities: Perform various tasks, including repetitive manual labor, to produce, package, and box tray pack items. Some tasks are performed with tools or other equipment; others are done by hand. Observe equipment operation, notify appropriate personnel of malfunctions or safety issues/concerns. Will be required to rotate to different functions within the processing department. Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics: Follow all safety, USDA, and GMP policies and guidelines. Maintain a clean and organized work area. Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Communicate effectively and follow verbal and written instructions and policies. Be able to work well in a team environment. Be capable of working at line speed after completing training. Maintain punctuality and regular attendance during scheduled work hours. Willing and able to perform the physical requirements of the job with or without reasonable accommodations. Be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to work in the United States. Pass a background check, drug screen, and pre-employment physical. Some positions may require the ability to read, write, and/or speak English. Physical Requirements: Stand for 8-10 hours per day. Lift up to 50 lbs. Possible bending, stooping, twisting, and squatting. Repetitive hand tasks, including gripping, grasping, pinching, and pulling. Working Conditions: Work in damp and cold environments. Work around loud and noisy machinery. Handle chemicals, fumes, or pungent odors. Work with animal organs and feces.
