Position Product Owner (Retail Media) — Strategic Staffing Solutions (S3)
Role Type: W2 contract
Duration: W2 contract through January with extension.
Location: Bolingbrook, IL
Schedule: 100% remote with quarterly PI planning travel (2 days).

Position Summary The Product Owner, Business Intelligence leads a cross-functional agile development team to deliver new features and capabilities. The role will dotted-line report to the Senior Manager, who leads product strategy, roadmap prioritization, and vision for Business Intelligence and self-serve capabilities.
Core Job Responsibilities Product Delivery: Oversee the full product development lifecycle, from ideation to launch. Monitor product performance and gather user feedback to inform iterations. Analyze key metrics to measure success and identify areas for improvement.
Requirements Gathering: Collaborate with stakeholders, analytics, agency, and vendor patterns to gather and prioritize requirements aligned with Brand Partner needs and market opportunities.
Prioritization: Maintain and prioritize the product backlog. Break down complex user stories into actionable tasks for the development team.
Release Management: Coordinate with engineering, QA, and deployment teams to ensure timely, high-quality releases.
Stakeholder Management: Act as primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing updates on status, roadmap changes, and releases; track KPIs.
Performance Analysis: Define and track KPIs to measure the success of ad products and identify improvements.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Sales, Marketing, Advertising Operations, Measurement, Ecommerce, UX, and other teams to drive product success.
Continuous Improvement: Facilitate retrospectives and feedback to improve processes, quality, delivery, and adoption.
Essentials for Success / Qualifications 8+ years of experience as a digital product owner or digital product manager in retail/ecommerce
2+ years in Retail Media
Strong understanding of reporting and measurements within Ecommerce Retail
Experience working within an Agile framework
Ability to communicate effectively with varied audiences and influence decisions
Strong insights experience: gathering insights and turning them into actionable reporting
Understanding of audience data interaction and consumption
Dashboard management experience: creating and deploying dashboards
Power BI familiarity for reporting and data visualization
Proven ability to build cross-team partnerships (Product, UX, Design, eCommerce, Merchandising, Development)
Strong organizational and strategic planning skills; ability to manage multiple initiatives
Able to thrive in a fast-moving environment with ambiguity and execution focus
Data-driven decision-making and strong analytical/problem-solving skills
Self-motivated and reliable with a passion for driving innovation
Education Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, advertising, computer science, or related field
