Prep Cook

We are hiring immediately for full time and part time Prep Cook positions.

Location: Scad Press Cafe - 201 East Broughton Street, Savannah, GA 31401. Note: online applications accepted only.

Schedule: Full time and part time schedules. Monday through Friday, hours may vary. More information upon interview.

Requirement: Prior culinary, food service, and customer service experience preferred. Willing to train!

Perks: Shift meal, safety shoe subsidy, and uniform provided!

Pay Range: $15.00 per hour to $16.00 per hour.

Job Summary

Summary: Prepares food and serves customers in accordance with applicable federal, state and local standards, guidelines and regulations. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include:

• Obtaining daily production schedule and preparation requirements from the Chef.
• Preparing items on production sheets following established quantities and recipes.
• Completing and following daily production worksheets and waste log sheets. Tasting completed meals to ensure quality.
• Operating and cleaning equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Storing, labeling and dating all food items according to policy. Following HACCP guidelines.
• Completing all required documentation, reports, logs as required.
• Complying with federal, state and local health and sanitation regulations and department sanitation procedures.
• Taking orders from customer and prepare items requiring short preparation time.
• Serving customers in an efficient and friendly manner.
• Completing orders from steam tables and grill and serving customers at multiple stations.
• Using approved food recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control.
• Operating and cleaning equipment per department procedures after each use.
• Storing, labeling and dating all food items according to policy.
• Following HACCP guidelines to ensure quality and safety of food supply.
• Resolving customer concerns.
• Performing other duties as assigned.
