Location Detail: 32 Seymour - Bone & Joint Inst (10341) Shift Detail: Full-time Physician Assistants will be required to work four 10 hour shifts totaling 40hrs/wk (including holiday, off shift, and weekends). Position Details:
Join a fast-paced orthopedic team in a multidisciplinary Level 1 trauma center at Hartford Hospital. We are looking for an energetic, team-oriented individual to join our team in managing orthopedic trauma and electric surgical patient populations.
Role : Open to Physician Assistants and Acute Care Nurse Practitioners
Locati on :    32 Seymour Street, Hartford, CT
Setting : Inpatient, Orthopedics
Schedule:   Full-time, Sunday-Friday. Day/night rotating.   Premium differentials offered .
Call Schedule:   Occasional weekend call coverage as needed.

Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope:
Under established guidelines and in collaboration and/or supervision with the practice physician(s), Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants perform routine physical examinations, and formulate medical, educational, and psychosocial plans to treat patients.
In consultation with the physician(s) and care team members, Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants develop plans for further evaluation of health needs, e.g., referral to other health team members or specialists.
Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants provide appropriate treatment for problems within the scope of the provider’s practice as designated by protocols and identifies problems outside of their scope of practice and refers appropriately to physician.

Qualifications
Requirements:
Licensure : Unrestricted State of Connecticut Medical License (or eligible)
Training : Certified or board-eligible Physician Assistant / Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP)
Experience : New graduates welcome to apply
Preferred:
1+ years orthopedic experience preferred
