Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant) General Surgery
Exciting opportunity to join Endeavor Health in the Inpatient Department of General Surgery. Under the direction of the collaborating physician(s), provides care to patients.
Provide comprehensive health care services for a diverse patient population in close collaboration with a team of surgeons and APPs.
Evaluate, diagnose, and treat general surgery patients.
Provide surgical care for patients in various settings emergency room, operating room, post-op, and non-op inpatient.
First assist in emergent operations.
Perform therapeutic procedures such as, but not limited to, bedside wound debridements, I&Ds, difficult catheter placements, catheter irrigation, NGT placements, etc.
Work collaboratively with various health care providers throughout the system.
Location: Highland Park Hospital, Highland Park, IL
Full Time/Part Time: Full-time, 40 hours/week
Hours: (3) 12-hour shifts on nights between 6:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. Rotating weekends and holidays required.
Required Travel: Occasional travel to other sites may be required.
Qualifications:
- License: Physician Assistant (PA) Licensure in the State of IL required; Federal DEA and Illinois Controlled Substance License required
- Education: Completion of master's level program in specialty area
- Certification: BLS/CPR certification required
- Experience: One year of Physician Assistant experience preferred, but new graduates welcomed to apply.
