Job Title: Physical Therapy Assistant Location: New York, NY 10003 Duration: 3-Month Contract (Extendable) Shift: 8:00 AM - 4:15 PM | Monday - Friday (40 hours/week)
Pay Rate: $30/hour (W2) Job Summary:
A healthcare facility in New York, NY is seeking a qualified and experienced Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) for a 3-month contract assignment, with potential for extension. The PTA will be responsible for implementing treatment programs under the supervision of a licensed physical therapist and will play a key role in supporting patients' functional improvement and recovery. Education Requirement: Associate's Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant studies or related field Licensure & Certification: Active PTA License - Required Required Skills & Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience as a Physical Therapy Assistant Strong oral communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving capabilities Key Responsibilities: Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising physical therapist Maintain timely and accurate documentation for all patient sessions Communicate patient progress and any concerns to the physical therapist regularly Coordinate with other healthcare disciplines as needed to ensure integrated patient care Notify the physical therapist of any changes in patient condition Recommend appropriate durable medical equipment (DME) in collaboration with team members Participate in discharge planning and ongoing therapy recommendations Attend clinical rounds, team meetings, and in-service training sessions as required Supervise PTA students during clinical affiliations when applicable
