Physical Retail Visual Merchandising Co-op - January 2026 Job at Wayfair in Bost

New Yesterday

Overview Wayfair’s Physical Retail team is seeking a Visual Merchandising Co-op to support scaling our flagship stores across North America. This role is an integral part of the Wayfair Visual Presentation Team, which develops and implements in-store presentations for seasonal floorsets, department refreshes, and new store openings. The team creates concepts, physical and virtual presentation builds, and store-facing Floorset Directives; the role will coordinate an increasing number of assets for Wayfair Stores as the retail store fleet grows. What You’ll Do Manage, update, and evolve our Wayfair Store Prototype documentation and SketchUp files as additional stores are added to our fleet. Audit Floorset Directives to ensure all fixtures in all store prototypes are accounted for and that design quality and communication style are consistent across documents. Support the team with presentation builds, Photoshop work, and document creation as needed. Produce work that resonates with our teams, follows Visual Merchandising guidelines, and raises the bar for our brand. Engage in creative conversations with peers and partners, contributing thought-partnership and openness to new ideas. Lead visual reviews with cross-functional partners and visual leadership to meet timelines and gain sign-off. Keep abreast of industry and market trends to inform presentations and keep Wayfair competitive in the evolving retail landscape. What You’ll Need Basic Qualifications: A student pursuing an undergraduate degree graduating between December 2026 and May 2029 with a 3.0 GPA minimum. Must be returning to the course of study after completion of the Co-op. Ability to commit to 40 hours/week (9am-5pm, Monday-Friday) from January 5 to June 19, 2026 in our Boston office. Authorization to work in the United States without visa sponsorship by Wayfair now or in the future. Ability to commute to Taunton, MA, for physical builds at our Retail Lab, with potential travel to new store openings (travel reimbursed per Wayfair policy). Preferred Qualifications: Physical Retail experience in-store, preferably with Home categories. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, SketchUp, and G-suite software. Ability to support strategic initiatives and multitask effectively. Active contributor, organized team player, and ability to produce high-quality work under time constraints. Strong comfort with using AI in daily workflow. Thrives in a high-growth, ambiguous environment.
