Physical Requirements: This position requires use of a computer workstation, completion of tasks with repetitive motions, and occasional pushing, pulling, and/or lifting objects weighing up to 50 pounds. This position may require personnel to wear personal protective equipment to reduce risk of exposure to work-related hazards (e.g. handling of hazardous medications). Shift: Hours are M-F, 7:30a-5p, some weekends and holidays. Hours and days of the week subject to change based on the needs and growth of the department. Job Summary This position will provide a variety of specialty pharmacy services including obtaining prior authorizations, enrolling patients' in financial support programs, and coordinating first time dispenses and refills for specialty medications prescribed within UK HealthCare. You will work closely with nurses, physicians, and UK Specialty Pharmacy staff to improve access to medications for a variety of sub specialty disease states. The starting pay for this position was recently adjusted. The minimum hourly rate for this position will now be $18.50/hour. All pay rates will be based on candidate's experience.
