Responsible for the day-to-day operations of a unit/department. Has first line accountability for outcomes and satisfaction. Participates in hiring/counseling/firing and completing annual evaluations of staff. Responsible for staff development activities. Facilitates effective organization of staff, equipment, supplies, and time. Effectively supervises unit/department through delegation of tasks. Anticipates the future course of the individual customer and unit/department/customer load. Is the resource for the staff and customers. Is responsible for the implementation of quality initiatives and compliance with regulatory agencies.
