JOB SUMMARY The Front Office Representative at Village Pediatrics (now a part of Catalyst Physician Group) will ensure a positive and seamless patient experience from check in to check out. This position will handle front office operations and serve as a Float Medical Assistant to support back office operations as needed. ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Greet patients and visitors in a friendly and professional manner Check patients in for appointments, update patient demographics. and obtain insurance information Assist patients with completing necessary forms and accurately document patient information in EMR Collect copayments, deductibles, and outstanding balances upon check out Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries promptly and efficiently Schedule follow-up appointments Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception and waiting areas Address patient concerns and complaints with empathy and professionalism Assist back office with patient rooming to efficiently meet daily appointment schedules as needed Obtain vital signs, prep and room patients as needed Work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism Perform other administrative tasks as assigned MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: 1 year experience in a Pediatric office setting MA certification preferred but not required Experience with medical EMR systems Knowledge of and adherence to OSHA and HIPAA rules and regulations Strong interpersonal and communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members PREFERRED EXPERIENCE: Active Medical Assistant certification (CMA, RMA, or equivalent) 2+ years of front office and back office experience in a Pediatric office setting Athena EMR experience Knowledge of Pediatric vaccines and dosages COMPETITIVE BENEFIT PACKAGE: Compensation commensurate with experience Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance Short/Long term disability Insurance 401K with employer match Health Savings Account options Paid Holidays and PTO Referral Programs
