Patient Care Technician - ICU (PRN - Nights) GW Health is the first new full-service hospital in Washington, DC in more than 20 years, integrating clinical care with existing community providers, Federally Qualified Health Centers (FQHC's), The George Washington University Hospital, and our Urgent Care Center in Ward 8. This integrated delivery system is a robust network of care for all District residents, but more importantly, it ensures that residents of Wards 7 and 8 have access to high quality care in their community. This full-service hospital includes 136 beds (with the ability to expand to 184 beds), a verified trauma center, adult and pediatric emergency departments, maternal health and newborn delivery, an ambulatory pavilion for clinic visits and other outpatient services, a 500-car garage, and a helipad for emergency transport.
We are seeking a qualified Patient Care Technician - ICU (PRN - Nights). Our ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to our critically ill patients and their families. The successful candidate will work closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive patient care, ensuring safety, comfort, and dignity throughout the patient's journey. This position demands a high level of attention to detail, critical thinking, and the ability to function effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications Requirements:
High School diploma
6 months or more of recent hospital, long-term care, or medical work experience
Excellent knowledge of patient assistance and care procedures
Patient Care Technician Certification required
BLS required
Skills:
Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Effective interpersonal skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Ability to adapt to multiple changing priorities
Ability to provide care that is respectful of and responsive to the patient values in clinical decision making
